Upgrade of “MyMapHK” with Voice Over and Text Version to Support Visually Impaired Users

“VoiceMapHK” functions have been fully integrated into the Lands Department’s iOS application “MyMapHK”. Users may open the iOS app “MyMapHK” and switch to the “Voice Over and Text Version” via the “More Options” page to access these functions. “MyMapHK – Voice Over and Text Version” utilises the smartphone’s built in screen reader function to read aloud users’ current location information. It also provides information on orientation and distance, and supports searches for nearby buildings, facilities, MTR access points, bus stops and other points of interest. These features assist users, particularly those who are visually impaired, in accessing geographic information about their surroundings.

“MyMapHK – Voice Over and Text Version” will replace “VoiceMapHK” with effect from 31 May 2026, continuing to provide members of the public with digital inclusive geographic information services. The latest “MyMapHK – Voice Over and Text Version” has been updated within the iOS app “MyMapHK” and is available for free download to the public.
