Launch of New Satellite Image Map - The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Satellite Image Map (Series GBA400S)
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Satellite Image Map (“The Map”), produced by the Survey and Mapping Office (SMO) of the Lands Department, is now available for sale.
The Map is prepared by joining a total of 12 Landsat 8 / Landsat 9 satellite images captured between November 2024 and December 2024. At a scale of 1:400 000, it covers the entire Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, showing the names and locations of prefectures, SARs, counties, townships / villages, mountains, islands, sea, bays, rivers, reservoirs and airports.
The Map, priced at $320, is available for sale at all SMO Map Sales Outlets and via the Hong Kong Map Service 2.0 (https://www.hkmapservice.gov.hk).
