Plug-in Tools for Floor Areas Calculation Checking in General Building Plan (GBP) Submission using Building Information Modelling (BIM) Technology

The first phase of the captioned joint project of Lands Department (LandsD) and the Buildings Department i.e. checking of area requirements under land lease is now proceeding to a soft launch for trial starting from 15 June 2022 for 12 months.

2. Authorized Persons (“APs”) / Developers are cordially invited to express interest in joining the soft-launch with submission created in Autodesk Revit. Once a development submission is confirmed selected, LandsD will provide the tools and guidelines as well as a workshop on the use of plug-in tools for staff of the APs / Developers. Feedback on the tools, guidelines and processes will be collected during the trial period. If the selected case is also a concurrent GBP submission referred to LandsD through the Centralized Processing System for checking of compliance under lease, a further submission of area calculation in Computer-Aided Design drawing files as stated in LandsD Lands Administration Office Practice Note No. 3/2018 to LandsD will be exempted.
