Hong Kong Now and Then

The "Hong Kong Now and Then - A Collection of Hong Kong Aerial Photos", produced by the Survey and Mapping Office (SMO), Lands Department, is now on sale.

The 160-page "Hong Kong Now and Then – A Collection of Hong Kong Aerial Photos" is a newly compiled photo book containing aerial photos and ground shots taken since the 1950s. Apart from photos of stunning views and geographical features in Hong Kong, the photo book also contains the recent and old photos of buildings, landmarks, transport terminus, roads, bridges, leisure places, etc., which remind readers of the past.

Taking aerial photos is one of the key functions of the SMO, and has become its regular work since 1968. The photo book aims to provide readers with a new perspective of aerial photography.

The "Hong Kong Now and Then - A Collection of Hong Kong Aerial Photos" is priced at HK$175. It is sold at all SMO sales outlets, six post offices (General Post Office, Kowloon Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, Mong Kok, Kwun Tong and Tuen Mun Central), certain local bookstores and the Online Government Bookstore.
