The ¡§Hong Kong Guide 2008¡¨, published by the Lands Department¡¦s Survey and Mapping Office (SMO), is now for sale.

This new edition has been completely overhauled and refurbished to become one single volume with 376 pages of maps, indexes of places and villages, streets, estates and buildings, schools, hotels, public services, as well as leisure and cultural facilities. Apart from the maps, there are also insets of photographs depicting various scenic spots in the territory.

The theme for this year is ¡§Hong Kong Theme Shopping and Dining¡¨, introducing to readers roads/streets with special features. For example, Flower Market Road is teamed with florists, Sai Kung Hoi Pong Street offers culinary seafood while Lockhart Road sells all the dˆmcor for perfect living.

Comprehensive public transportation information is also provided for readers¡¦ convenience.
