Two pre-sale consents issued in November

         The Lands Department issued two consents for the sale of 1,384 residential units in uncompleted development projects in November, a spokesman for the Department said today (December 6).

         The two residential developments, one located in Tsuen Wan and the other one in Sha Tin, are estimated to be completed between December 2005 and June 2006.

         At the end of November 2004, there were 16 applications for pre-sale consent pending approval, involving a total of 10,640 residential units.           Among them, nine applications involving 4,544 residential units are estimated to be completed in 2005. The remaining seven applications involving 6,096 residential units are estimated to be completed before September 2006.

        There were three applications for pre-sale consent for commercial developments pending approval as at the end of November 2004.         In addition, there were two applications for consent to assign involving 1,650 residential units and two applications for consent to assign for commercial developments pending approval.

        Members of the public may obtain up to date information on consents to sell residential units in uncompleted developments issued for the last six months and cases pending approval as at the end of November 2004 by dialing Legal Advisory & Conveyancing Office's Hotline No. 2147 5475 or visiting the Department's website at www.info.gov.hk/landsd/.

        The names of the developer, its parent company (if any), its solicitors, authorized person (including the name of the firm), the main superstructure contractor, the mortgagee bank (if any), the undertaking bank (if any) and the financier (if any) in respect of individual development are also available to the public in the form of reports obtainable through the fax-on-demand facilities of the Hotline or the Lands Department website.
