One pre-sale consent issued in July

The Lands Department issued one pre-sale consent for the sale of 261 residential units in an uncompleted development project last month (July).

The project, located in Tai Po, is estimated to be completed in June 2002, a spokesman for the department said today (August 6).

The department also issued one consent to assign for a residential development involving 1,200 units on Tsing Yi in July.

As at the end of July, there were 19 applications for pre-sale consent involving a total of 13,015 residential units across the SAR. The units are expected to be completed between September 2001 and June 2004.

In addition, there were seven applications for pre-sale consent concerning commercial developments on Hong Kong Island and in Kowloon.

As at the end of last month, an application for consent to assign is being processed for a residential project in Tseung Kwan O.
