Two pre-sale consents issued in May

The Lands Department issued two pre-sale consents for the sale of 1,601 residential units in uncompleted development projects last month (May).

The projects, located in Kowloon and on Lantau Island, are estimated to be completed between December 2001 and October 2002, a spokesman for the department said today (June 6).

The department also issued two consents to assign for 2,776 residential units in Kowloon and Sai Kung in May. The units are estimated to be completed between March and June, 2001.

As at the end of May, there were 16 applications for pre-sale consent involving a total of 11,918 residential units across the SAR. The units are expected to be completed between September 2001 and June 2004.

In addition, there were nine applications for pre-sale consent concerning commercial developments on Hong Kong Island and in Kowloon.

As at the end of last month, applications for consent to assign being processed included two residential projects in Sai Kung and on Tsing Yi Island.
